Happy, a simple adjective to write but a feeling that everyone is wishing to get every day. But what does really mean to be happy? Is it being famous and wealthy? Is it being loved? Is it spending time with family and friends? Do you think that money is the secret of happiness? What about health and safety? Can we truly buy happiness? And so many more questions are to be asked. According to Dictionary.com, “Happiness is the good fortune; the pleasure; the contentment; and joy.” In light of this statement, I realized that there are 3 sources of happiness: Relatives, health and wealth, which are all essential to our living. Today, many people engage themselves in games like lottery in order to earn money, while others have had enough of it and enjoy their lives to the fullest. This is because some individuals think that being a wealthy person will make them glad. It is true that owning a good amount of money makes you feel secure and financially stable, which means no more concern or stress in your life. Rich people don’t have to worry about how they will pay taxes or bills, and a lack of money automatically lead to a pain. Furthermore, rich people have the ability to buy many nice things and take pleasure with their loved ones, like spending money on the things that make them feel happiest, getting new clothes, eating in famous restaurant or enjoying nice holidays away from their native country. Then we have to consider that rich people may have no need to work, and surely they won’t find themselves obliged to do a certain job for living. Furthermore, they have much more free time, and spend more time with family and friends. Poorer people don’t usually have this option, and if they had the ability to spend more time with their relatives; they will be much happier. It’s when you are feeling good about yourself, and it’s when you are enjoying life without financial problems. Then, happiness may be very simple, but sometimes very difficult to reach. However, people keep looking for happiness in their life despite the rewards that they get throughout their journey in this world. Thus, one should be satisfied with what he/she has. We should all be thankful for what we have, and we should be feeling blessed in every moment of our life because we may have something that others would love to have, but can’t get.
