“To move, To breath, To fly, To float, To gain all while you can give, To roam the roads of lands remote, To travel is to live.” Hearing the poem by famous Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen touched people’s lives across the continents. Andersen’s philosophy and favorite phrase is “To Travel is to Live” and over the years 1840-1858 he became a busy traveller that journeyed all over Europe meeting fellow writers, celebrities, princesses and royalties (Copenhagen,2005). Hence, readers were inspired by his writings and wanted to explore different nations together with their respective cultures and nationalities. On the other hand, some traveler does not rely on reading rather advertisements greatly influence them. In fact, as the global …show more content…
Tourism is an important, even vital, source of income for many countries- an activity essential to the life of nations because of its direct effects on the social, cultural, educational, and economic sectors of national societies and on their international relations (recognized in the Manila Declaration on World Tourism, 1980). Tourism brings in large amounts of income into a local economy in the form of payment for goods and services needed by tourists, accounting for 30% of the world’s trade of services, and 6% of overall exports of goods and services. It also creates opportunities for employment in the service sector of the economy associated with tourism ( UNWTO, June 2012). Thus, the industry highlights activities wherein people can travel by through different modes of transportation and blend in different nationalities. Travelling can be by land, sea and air depending on the preference of the tourist. People’s basis of travel vary from their desire. Through furnishing invulnerable journey, it is servicing tourists and motivating prospective travelers. In addition, people can achieve wherever they desire to travel regardless of pricey journeys as long as they really want to fulfill it. It is not only about dreaming rather to claim and enjoy that dream and make it into reality. Tourism has many services to offer that the tourist will benefit from travelling, it may be local or international. Definitely, products that are bought favors back in return for the money that was paid for. The advertisement is the marketing strategy in which potential travelers are the target market. Detailed and conducive advertisement could catch the attention of the people that will make try to explore the world through tourism promotion. It can be said that, tourism is necessary for people not only for the benefit of country’s economic growth but it’s the personal experience that one cannot steal from anyone.
