This behavior of safety means that is mainly associated with verbal communication, which we yelled while biking. As we were biking in a long chain this meant that our communication had to be well done so nobody would get lost or injured on the ride. However, a disadvantage of this chain would be the lack of communication someone might bring to the chain, which means that the people at the back won’t know what is coming up or when to stop as nobody has repeated what had been said at the start of the chain. For example, I was at the very back of the chain on the first day and the calls to me about what was coming towards me such as thumbs, roots, braking, butt back, corner etc. was very inconsistent as I didn’t always hear the person in front of me or just didn’t communicate to me at all. It was not like I was too far behind for her not to communicate with me, I just didn’t get told anything. But that didn’t phase me at all as that may have been a mental strategy for the person in front of me as she may have lacked confidence and really needed to focus on what she was doing which means not communicating with the person behind her, which in this case, was me. So for myself I had to be careful on what I was going to go through, as the communication didn’t quite get to the end of the chain. But sometimes it would and I found it very helpful and less challenging for me as I didn’t have to be as careful. As we changed the order of the chain, I was at the front
