To begin with, Han twistedly attempts to drive a wedge between Sokdae and the boys in class. "Accordingly, the first thing I tried was to drive a wedge between Sokdae and the boys in class, all of whom were on his side. I concentrated on them, figuring that if I drove a wedge there, I might be able, with their help, to take on Sokdae" (24).
