Confucius Confucius was an influential Chinese philosopher, teacher and political figure known for his popular aphorisms and for his models of social interaction. When Confucius was a child, his name was Kong Qiu. Confucius called Kung Fu Tzu in Chinese. He was born in 551 B.C.Confucius' main interest is to find out how the government is taking care of people. His parents were poor, although his family had been rich before that. They were in trouble with the emperor, and he had taken their money and land.
