When feeling I need to getaway, I leave the city to go to the Hamptons. In the Hamptons, I feel it’s the perfect getaway from home. Only eighty miles east of New York City, there are so many things I can do out in the Hamptons that are special to me. The Hamptons is great all year around especially during the summer. Everyone comes to the Hamptons from the city to go to the beaches, stores, and restaurants. I have been coming to the Hamptons with my family ever since I was born. The Hamptons is meaningful to me because of the many activities and memories I have with my family and friends.
The Hamptons is most popular for their beaches. Coopers Beach is the beach I visit the most because it’s close to my house and my friend is a lifeguard there. I play many games on the beach including volleyball, frisbee, and tug of war. When were tired, we usually go to the concession stand to eat. The beach has tasty hot dogs and the best chicken wraps. Then, I usually go in the water when the weather is hot and throw the football around. During sunset, I walk around the beach and can see the massive houses that are on the water. Sunset beach is another beach I visit frequently on Shelter Island. When you visit this beach, you feel you’re somewhere in France because of the French food and atmosphere. I go to Breezing Up, Vineyard Vines, and other pop ups shops that are open in the summer. I buy new summer clothes for the season and take advantage of the sales. I usually work in the summers at Juice Press, a juice bar in town, to make money and drink my favorite juice. I go to the movie theaters at night and get dinner in town with friends. Rumba is my favorite place in the Hamptons because it has a Caribbean vibe. It’s known for having the best cheeseburger in town. Also, I go to Suki Zuki in Watermill to get the famous Chicken Teriyaki
