Hampton Dumont High School Essay

At Hampton-Dumont high school, there are clear variations between the male and female students. Each gender has something to contribute to the school community. Boys and girls at Hampton-Dumont tend to view school, including organization, homework, and study hall differently, as well as physicalities such as, showing affection and athletics. While both being human beings, they each have their own characteristics and ways of life. Academically, the female student body tends to be more dedicated and organized with their homework. In the halls, you would be sure to find the girls holding in their arms little planners covered with hearts and the latest patterns. Boys, on the other hand, could be found rushing to class to beat the bell with all their homework shoved into one tiny notebook and leaving a trail of papers behind them. In study hall, you could find the girls working on their homework and doing their independent reading throughout the time given. The boys would be glued behind their computer screens playing the latest war games or reading up on the latest sports news. With their friends, boy are aggressive in the way they show affection to one another. At H-D you can find pairs of boys wrestling in the lunchroom or giving a punch to the shoulder in the halls. Girls show their affection in a civilized and lady-like manner. By giving hugs, love pats, and posting their appreciation on twitter, girls at Hampton-Dumont show their affection in a more compassionate manner. In sports, boys are naturally more versatile athletes. They jump higher, run faster, and are generally stronger than girls in athletics tend to be.
