Hammurabi’s codes were just/fair and some of his codes were not just/fair. This is because even though some of his codes ended in physical harm such as hand cutting, his codes had a purpose to help keep order and allow people to get justice. Hammurabi lived eighteen centuries ago and ruled for forty two years. “If a son has struck his father, his hand shall be cut off”.
