Introduction Paragraph : Did you know Hammurabi’s codes were the first set of laws?Hammurabi was the king of a city named “babylonia? Hammurabi’s codes were a set of laws that everybody had to follow. Hammurabi’s codes were written down because was tired of people doing whatever they wanted.0 claim statement : Hammurabi’s codes is just for two reasons creation of laws and property laws.

Examples of just laws can first be found in the area of property law. The first example is on document D it say’s “ If a man opens his trench for irrigation and the water have flooded his neighbor’s field, the man must restore, the crops that he has caused to be lost. this rule is just because if his neighbor opens his canal than whoever caused it they have to restore the crops because they are the one’s who caused the flood. this matters because if the neighbor floods the …show more content…
The first example is on document E it say “ If a man has knocked out the eye of a free man, his eye shall be knocked out. This is just because if a man knocked out a man’s eye the man will be able to knock out his eye.this matters because if the man with the knocked out eye he will get to knock out the eye of the man who knocked out his eye. In document E it say a”If a man knocked out the eye of a slave he shall pay half his value. This is just because if a man knocked out a eye of a slave then the slave will get more money than he is seposto.

In conclusion, there are just laws in Hammurabi’s Code. These laws are just because some laws is put to death for stealing but i think that is fair because then people wouldn’t to die so whoever steals they will be put to death and other people wouldn't want to so that is why they put whoever steals to
