Hamlet Truly And Sincerely Love Ophelia Analysis

In this tragic romance it is questioned whether Hamlet does truly and sincerely affectionately love Ophelia because of his complicated actions throughout the play. In the reading there is plenty of documentation that proved and testified Hamlets true infatuation with Ophelia. Hamlet was not the average flawless man that you would expect in your typical Shakespearean romance, he was an already broken-hearted, demoralized man. His father was brutally murdered and washed away from the earth, in result he wanted to seek revenge for the perpetrator who was involved with his father’s death. He began to show her less attention and care to sort off throw off and baffle her father and others, but deep down he loved her and wanted so badly to profess his love to the world about her but couldn’t due to her family and complications in his life. His passionate ways became so strong for her he began to slowly attempt to secretly convince her by writing letters even showing signs when they were alone. In one of the letters wrote he told Ophelia “never doubt I love” (act 2 scene 2 page.127. He proclaims to her that basically if she doesn’t believe any other words that leave his mouth believe that he loves her. Consequently, the ghost that came to visit Hamlet told him to seek out revenge on his father’s death and he is still resentful towards his mother so he becomes a little focused on that more than Ophelia, it’s not so much as he wanted to abuse her love but he was trying to protect her and her feelings because he truly loved her. He did not take her feelings into consideration when it came to fulfilling his revenge, but it was not purposely clearly he loved her if he had at least attempted and made an effort to make her his after all that has taken a toll on him in
