Hamlet’s Good to Evil Whether there is a fair fight or not, there is always a constant struggle between good and evil. Good and evil show up in many stories, situations, and events in real life no matter how small the good or bad may be. Hamlet has a lot of situations where he has to deal with discovering what is good and evil. He has to deal to find out how to differentiate the difference between the two. Shakespeare addressed good and evil in Hamlet through Prince Hamlet’s actions, which is a catalyst to Hamlet’s drive to avenge his father’s death, that led up to pursuing King Claudius till the king ended up in hell. After King Hamlet’s death, prince Hamlet was really sad and didn’t want anything to do with life he just wanted to die and be with his father wherever he was, in his soliloquy “Ah, I wish my dirty flesh could melt away into a vapor, or that God had not made a law against suicide.” He would prefer to die with his father than to live without him, prince Hamlet has great loyalty to his father and would be able to do anything for his father. Prince Hamlet decides that he will make some actors act out a scene similar to King Hamlet’s death, if Claudius leaves and feel uncomfortable the Hamlet knows that Claudius committed the crime and that he should be punished. When this task was preformed Claudius felt uncomfortable and prince Hamlet knew that Claudius was the killer of his father; his hatred for him grew from that and became a giant hatred.
