The play “Hamlet” written by William Shakespeare, and throughout the play Hamlet learns the truth about his father’s murder. As the play goes on, Hamlet guarantees to take a revenge of his father’s murderer, who is his own uncle, who gets married to Hamlet’s mother just after two months of Hamlet’s father death. The theme of appearance and reality has been constant throughout the play. In the play, some of the characters like Polonius, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and King Claudius are unseen covering dishonesty. All of this characters were showing honesty and sincere, but in reality, they all were contaminated with dishonesty an untrustworthiness. Claudius, who recently got married to Hamlet’s mother and crowned king of Denmark, expresses the theme of Appearance and reality in right sense. Wanting to be a king, Claudius murdered his own brother, and soon after the death of his brother, he married with his brother’s widow wife and became the king of Denmark. In the beginning, he appears to be concerned about his brother’s death, but in reality he is murderer of his own brother. In addition, he spoke about king Hamlet in a way he is caring person in the lead of the kingdom. After all of this, Claudius has also sent hamlet to England for Hamlet’s protection: “Hamlet, this deed, for thine especial safety - which we do tender, as we dearly grieve For that which thou hast done - must send thee hence” (Shakespeare.
