At three o’clock in the morning she woke to her phone blowing up with notifications. The song was a hit! Five label companies contacted her within the five hours of the song being published. Ghost was playing on the radio before she had even signed with a label. Halsey then ended up signing with the record company Astralwerks. Within months she had written and recorded her debut EP titled Room 93. On her beginning rise to fame she opened for The Kooks, The Weeknd, and Imagine Dragons.“She’s a true artist -- you can tell the moment you meet her,” says Imagine Dragons singer Dan Reynolds. “And she’s passionate about putting on a great show. There were nights when she would get offstage and be upset because she felt like she just didn’t give enough -- and those were nights when the crowd loved her.” Halsey then joined The Young Rising Sons and co-headlined a tour with them. On August 28, 2015 she released her debut album, Badlands. She began the Badlands tour soon after the release. While on tour she had a miscarriage; not sure why she had a miscarriage, but she blames herself.
