Microsoft will be releasing its biggest Halo 5 expansion ever at the end of June 2016. Dubbed "Warzone Firefight," includes new features, a campaign score attack mode and a new canvas for its Forge toolkit.
Warzone Firefight is by far the biggest post-release expansion for Halo 5, and Microsoft will be making it available starting June 29 on Xbox One.
Developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios, Halo 5: Guardians is a first-person shooter video game for the Microsoft Xbox One home video game console. Additionally, the update will introduce a Score Attack mode to the campaign, and a new Forge canvas called Tidal that will be featured for the mapmaking tools. Aside from the new content for multiplayer, the expansion also includes new REQ items such as new armor sets as well as weapon and vehicle variants.
"We're big fans of scoring in past Halo games, and we wanted to bring it back to Halo 5: Guardians, but with a few new twists. We call it: Score Attack," Gabe Deyerle, campaign engineer at 343 Industries, said in an interview with Halo Waypoint, via the Tech Times. "With over 50 medals to earn in Score Attack, you'll earn the most points for defeating your foes as stylishly as possible."
In celebration of its launch and as part of the Free Play Days promotion, Microsoft will be offering the full game for free to all Xbox Live Gold members starting from June 29 to July 5, 2016. At the same time, Halo 5 will also be discounted by 50 percent for those who wish to purchase the full
