Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska were hit by a powerful storm Monday (November 16th), which produced more than a dozen tornadoes. Luckily, these tornadoes occured in areas with low populations and there has been no reported deaths. Pampa, Texas was hit by two supercell thunderstorms in quick succession (recorded as EF3). The Haliburton power plant was destroyed causing 1,000 people to lose power. In Texas and Oklahoma combined, nearly 47, 000 people have lost power. In Texas a Train was derailed and hail the size of golf balls was reported. Throughout the affected states there was widespread tree damage and down power lines.
