3 Reasons and a Half Why NYU and I are Perfect for Each Other
1: The Path to Physician-ship Volunteering for the past four years at my local hospital, my experience aiding the residents consolidated my dream of becoming a doctor. Acceptance into the Robert and Ellen Salant Pre-Health Program at NYU’s College of Arts and Sciences is an unparalleled opportunity for me to jump-start my path to becoming a physician. I know that NYU’s pre-professional medical program would provide me with the academic rigor with classes like Principles of Biology, General Physics, and Organic Chemistry. Under the guidance of NYU’s pre-health advisor, I know that my personal strengths, career aspirations, and undergraduate pursuits could be utilized so that I become a well-rounded candidate for medical school. Not only that, the pre-medicine program encourages its participants to pursue a major we feel heartfelt toward. For me, that’s politics.

At the College of Arts and Sciences, the Wilf Family Department of Politics is the perfect home for my interest in government and public affairs. Majoring in politics at NYU will give me the skills to reach a deeper, analytical understanding of political events. I know that at NYU I will embark on a rigorous approach to effecting positive political change. I look forward to being taught under the acclaimed Prof. David Stasavage in the field of political science. To even have the opportunity to study politics at Washington DC is more than enough initiative to thrive at NYU’s
