Hal Davis Mission Statement Analysis

In 1991, Hal Davis, Jr., founded D&S Community Services to provide care for his nephew who has developmentally disabled. Over the past 25 years, the company became the leading provider of residential services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Mr. Davis is also, a member of the Board of Directors, which he was involved in developing the company’s mission and vision statement. Our mission statement states “to provide exceptional community-based services that promote optimal independence and quality of life for individuals with special needs”. Our company became an established provider of community-based, individualized services and supports serving over 2000 persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Tennessee, Texas and Kentucky. The company provides specialized training and certification program to the direct support professionals, whom take care of the individuals daily. We have a formal and comprehensive Quality Assurance Program administered by an in-house team of QA professional auditors and registered nurses who report directly to the Board of Directors. D&S Community services provide services, such as, in-home support, day habilitation, supported employment, behavior supports, health services and specialized therapies.
