The main characters in the story is Hakeem Randall, Savon, and Anika. Hakeem is one of the main characters in the story who is trying to help his family out because they are having a rough time. Savon is a character who doesn’t have a good relationship with his dad and also the cousin of hakeem. Anika is one of the neighbors. The setting that this story takes place in detroit michigan.Hakeem was born in california but he ended up having to move to detroit because his father had got really sick. When he ended up in detroit, him and his cousin savon ended up not getting along.

Hakeem Randall, one of the main characters had moved from california to detroit Michigan. He didn’t want to leave because he didn’t want to leave his school or his friends
