There are three stages to the hair growth cycle; anagen, catagen, and telogen. Understanding these phases will help you understand how some hair growth home remedies are likely to work better than some commercial products.

Anagen

In this stage your it grows constantly at the rate of about one-half-inch per month. It will remain in this stage for three to seven years. While in this stage your hair is being nourished by the blood through the root. It is firmly attached in the hair follicle. This is when increasing the blood circulation and nutrients will make the most difference. The better fed your hair is the more likely it will be to stay in this stage longer. You can accomplish this with some simple changes in your diet that include b vitamins.
