Organizations and companies are in high demand for an I/O psychologist in order to help work productivity and other situations that can affect employees, which can lead to effecting the company overall. Haenisch, Jerry P., conducted a survey regarding factors that affects employees in their workplace and how it effects the company overall. “With more than five million workers, employed by state governments in the United States, any improvement in state workplace productivity could have significant financial and service impact for society” (Haenisch, 2012). Improvements can be established in an organization when having proper knowledge about it. Getting an education in I/O psychology has a lot of studying and researching to do. In many practice-oriented jobs, the I/O psychologist may be the most, or only, methodologically trained professional in the immediate organization (Z.S. Byrne et al., 2014). This peer-reviewed journal, a study was conducted to explore the aspects of how to become and I/O psychology and what is needed to be highly qualified in job field related (Z.S. Byrne et al., 2014) . Both master’s degree and doctoral degrees in I/O psychology is required in order to become and official I/O psychologist. The higher the degree the better chance there is to be accepted in a job opportunity. There are training as well to help graduates get additional education in this field. When working on a doctoral degree, graduates can find training with a higher schema for analyzing and solving complex problems (Z.S. Byrne et al., 2014). Also, since I/O psychology is known for having a psychology background, they have a higher advantage when applying for jobs rather than a regular consultant. In addition to that, internships are highly required for all students in this field, because that will also improve their skills and knowledge in regards to this field. According to a peer-review journal, they concluded in a survey that was conducted, that former interns also report more career development and greater job satisfaction when compared to those who never completed an internship (as cited in E.L. Shoenfelt et al., 2012). In most of the internships students learn many things that can help them in the long run, such as, communication skills, oral presentations, management, organizational skills, interpersonal skills and much more (E.L.
