They didn't know this would happen. Nobody did. And now they will pay.

As the world came into focus, I realized my phone was not ringing as it was in my dream. It was my alarm clock, honking it’s tune at me, signaling that it was time to get up. I smashed my hand on the snooze button, missed, and instead, I smashed my hand on the corner of my bedside table.
“OWWWW!” I yelled jumping out of bed to look at my hand. Thankfully, there was only minor bleeding. As I went to clean up my hand and put on my school uniform, I looked at the calendar on the wall and realized to was Saturday. Why does the world hate me! I thought to myself. I screamed as loud as I could.
My parents came running into the room, but by the time they reached me, it was too late. Lexington Jones had disappeared in a puff of smoke that left me hacking. As my parents started to fawn over my scratches, I felt so woozy that I collapsed into a ball on the ground and fell asleep, not knowing that I would not remember anything in the morning.

Around 12 o'clock the next morning, I woke up to the sun blazing in my eyes. Instinctively, I reached up to block the sun, but as my hands grazed my cheek, I felt blood dried everywhere. I ran into the bathroom and gasped at the sight. My face was a bloody mess. I didn't know what happened last night that could have left me in this condition. After I washed the blood off my face, I decided to go for a bike ride. I lugged my bike out of the garage and was about to head to the park when I saw my new neighbor with a toddler that had to be her daughter.
“Hi Mrs. Jones!” I yelled, hoping that she would notice me.
