Habakkuk The book of Habakkuk is in the classification of Bible literature. I read an article on bible.org as my reference to help me understand the book of Habakkuk and found out the following information. Habakkuk is the eighth book in the Bible. It was written by a prophet named Habakkuk back in 620 B.C. It was written because Habakkuk was dealing with a difficult issue. The whole book is about him questioning “If God is good, then why is there evil in the world?” Habakkuk was one of the good guys, but he feared God and he did all of the right things, but he felt like it was getting him nowhere. Most Godly and unGodly people have most likely felt what the book of Habakkuk is about. Every day people look around at this world now just like he did back then. People say he was the most brilliant leader of ancient Israel. David became Saul's armor-bearer and son-in-law. David became king after he rose to power by defeating the south and Jerusalem after Saul died.David received most of his fame when he was young because he killed Philistine Goliath with a slingshot. David was the first king of a united Israel. He has several wives, whom he had several sons with. One of his wives was Bathsheba. She was originally the wife of one of David's generals. King David ended up impregnating Bathsheba, so he ordered for her husband to be placed on the front lines and he died. King David then went on to marry Bathsheba. When she had the child, it became deathly ill, which caused David to go into a period of prayer and fasting. The child still passed away, but David took it as his punishment.
