I see my following two years in the Haas Undergraduate Program as the most productive, beneficial, and exciting time in my student life. I look forward to making a significant impact on my peers by continuing to be involved with organizations and projects, as I have done in my years as an underclassman.
Holding executive positions in student clubs and associations at Marymount California University, I have a unique experience regarding improvement of the university environment because I have devoted my essential efforts, knowledge, and time to each organization of which I am a part. Since I am now serving as the Vice President of Communications of Marymount Student Government Association, I know how to interact with people in order to help out with any issues concerning their university experience and in how to assist these people with their situations. Thanks to my position as Treasurer in the Rotaract Club, District 5280, and my position as Senator on the Finance Committee of the Marymount Student Government Association, I understand how to spend associations’ money rationally, and what kinds of events to organize for student body, faculty, and staff

Since I have already been involved in activities of similar organizations, I realize what value they bring to the university community and what an impact they have on my peers. Moreover, I would also like to join The Berkeley Business Society, Berkeley Innovation, and Berkeley Investment Group. It is significant for me to have an impact on my peers through the clubs related to my major because I am able to share my ideas and professional experience with them, since I am an apartment owner and own shares of two companies which I helped to develop. At the same time, these peers can provide me with an in-depth view of certain issues that I have never faced

Researching nontraditional students allowed me to capture the thoughts and feelings of these students in regards to involvement outside of the classroom. This research will give the campus an opportunity to reach out to this student population when planning events and take into consideration some of the challenges faced by non-traditional students. Student organizations on campus can also learn how to increase participation and membership in the organization from the non-traditional student. The overall goal is to give the nontraditional students a voice and allow administrators the opportunity to further support this student group.…

As the season of fall approaches here at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, I have reached the middle of my fall semester as a freshmen college student. Midterms are approaching and I am pulling my hair out due to the sleepless nights and long hours of studying for midterms. There are some students are planning activities for Halloween while I on the other hand am preparing my study guide for my Microeconomic midterm. The closest to a break I would have from school would be Thanksgiving break, and during the break I would return home and begin working for my family. All the stress I am feeling about school could be due to my unorganized school schedule and responsibility of renting an apartment.…

I believe that the close-knit atmosphere will present me with the chance to become close with a great network of members, while providing me with hands-on learning opportunities. Additionally, I have confidence that being a part of Student Council will challenge me beyond my comfort zone and guide me to work diligently with a wide variety of individuals. Being raised by two parents that wake up every morning looking forward to their day at work, I have based many decisions in life on one concept. This idea is that when one genuinely takes pleasure in their endeavors, it is clearly reflected in the…

I want to know what is it like to be in a more diverse community, comparing to my current school of only 800 students. Due to the size, the population forms many small pockets of social groups, which can be isolating. Although this community offers a wide array of different ideas and personalities, they are still very similar at their core. This leads me into why UW-M’s extracurricular activities interest me as well. Skimming through the massive catalog of clubs, I noticed that there were more academic-centered clubs than I expected- it seemed exciting that students could make connections with people both within and outside of their major while still learning about subjects that go with their academic interests.…
