The vaccines are not suggested for pregnant women. Even though studies show that HPV vaccines do not cause problems for babies born to mother who were vaccinated while pregnant, still more investigation is required. A pregnant woman should not get HPV vaccine until her pregnancy is finished. Getting the HPV vaccine when pregnant is not a reason to finish pregnancy. If a woman recognizes that she got one or more shots of an HPV vaccine while she is pregnant, she should either wait to get the third dose until her pregnancy is over or she can call her doctor (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2016).
