Something I have regret doing is messing around at soccer and getting put on a team that I don't belong on and while my friends where focusing and trying and putting effort and showing that they care and getting put on the better team. Why I chose to horse around is because other people were also messing around and I my friends were not so then after that I have put full effort in anything even in practice and to always to give it 100%. I regret doing this because this now affects the way I look to people and the coaches so now i'm not likely to be on that list for people that care but later in the season I did my best and was told you are on the 1st team so now I need to focus and give it my all every…
The best and worst decision of my high school career took place before the first day of my freshman year. I signed up for photojournalism, the class that produces the yearbook. While it’s a fulfilling and captivating class that has become one of my passions, it’s also undeniably the most stressful and time-consuming class I have ever taken. I still remember the first time I completed a spread.…
I second guessed myself on everything and was never sure of myself. This made me think that my grades in my other classes were not based on my intelligence, but on my completion of the work. My love of school disappeared. This small incident still hurts even today. The events which happen to us as children can have lasting impact throughout our lives.…
My high school community is unique and incredible in that it is inclusive. It was the best decision of my life to attend Xaverian Brothers High school, despite what failures I encountered. Entering high school my grandmother had just passed away and my family was in a large feud; I was lost and had no confidence. The community my high school established allowed me to find my niche and gain confidence. I discovered in high school that I am a service oriented and extremely driven student.…
These have been such memorable years to me that I will never forget as I grow. I wouldn’t change my experience for anything because I’ve learned and grown so much in the few years I’ve been in high school. In the beginning I thought high school wasn’t an important part of my life. I was just focused on football and goofing off.…
Many adults look back in life and regret a time they consider a failure that shaped their whole future. I do not want to be that person. That time you may be wondering about is high school. My first years of high school have been a failure. Coming to Fork Union I know success is around the corner if I keep working hard.…
Learning From Your Mistakes Everyone makes mistakes, it’s what makes us human. It’s not the mistake that defines you, it’s how you react to it. Michelle Huseby(my stepmom) made many mistakes in high school. Too many to count actually.…
Opening: Well here it is, the end of my high school year. As I think about it, my last month here at Keystone, I have so many memories and immense gratitude for the people in my life who helped me along the way. I learned many lessons, not only in the classroom, but in life as well.…
Its funny looking back on the immature things i did back then. Another huge thing was back then through middle school i was a horrible student. Possibly the lowest of the low. I didn't care about school. So because of that i was put in a class for kids with a learning disability.…
Everyone makes mistakes, it’s humane. Mine was in freshman year of high school. I tried out for the football team, I didn’t know what I was doing, mostly because I wasn’t paying attention and wasn’t listening. I kept getting distracted. I knew if I didn’t find a way to stop getting distracted I knew it would a long hard season, harder than it was supposed to be.…
There are many things that I regret. I regret not taking American Sign Language my freshman year of high school because I could be in ASL 4 right now and not in ASL 3. I regret not working with horses or just animals in general because I could be so much further in my education working with them than I am now. I regret not going to any of the homecoming dances in high school because I heard they were so much fun and I did not want to go to any of them.…
When I was in elementary school, I made a decision that changed my life forever. My fifth grade year of elementary school started off amazing. We didn’t have that much homework because my class was actually paying attention to our teacher, and everyone in my class were all friends with one…
Regrets for me have made me who I am today. My biggest academic regret of high school is focusing on how my education looks on paper, because I thought that paper defined me. I have learned more about myself and the way that I learn this year more than any other year in the past. my biggest academic regret was not attending my marketing class at the career cent last year. I have blossomed me into a benefit to society I have gained skill I didn 't think was possible until after I graduated.…
My biggest mistake was believing that I, myself, was a mistake. At the age of 15, after fighting the hardest battle of my life, I came to the conclusion that if I could win something like that, then I must truly be worth something. I learned that I wasn’t a mistake, that accidents happen, but they can have the most beautiful consequences. I am one of them. From that moment on, I valued my life more than anything.…
General Q1: What’s your biggest failure in life and what did you learn from it? My biggest failure in life was in my first semester at Fanshawe College. During my Strategies for Success course I was to submit an assignment in paper to the professor and did so on time and did very well on it.…
