There’s many people that do not know they have HIV because symptoms vary and are alike from a cold or flu. There’s three stages of HIV during stage one of HIV (acute HIV infection) many people do not know they have this virus because the symptoms are very mild. They seem like a flu or cold there’s headache, diarrhea, aching muscles, swollen lymph nodes. During this stage doctors, can still act and prevent it from developing. Stage two (chronic HIV infection) can last up to 10 years, and with this stage there are no symptoms that can let you know you have HIV. The final stage, third stage is when a person has AIDS (acquired immune defiance syndrome) this is when the immune system is damaged and can no longer fight infections.
