Many people do not take any sexual precaution, so due to this one of the most common STD that is transmitted is Human immunodeficiency virus, or also known as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS (Dallas, 2016). It enters the body attacks the immune system, and then it is too late you did not make the right sexual choice to be safe so now you are contracted with HIV. It is better to be abstinence than to be sexually active and not having enough information. There’s many people that do not know they have HIV because symptoms vary and are alike from a cold or flu. There’s three stages of HIV during stage one of HIV (acute HIV infection) many people do not know they have this virus because the symptoms are very mild. They seem like a flu or cold there’s headache, diarrhea, aching muscles, swollen lymph nodes. During this stage doctors, can still act and prevent it from developing. Stage two (chronic HIV infection) can last up to 10 years, and with this stage there are no symptoms that can let you know you have HIV. The final stage, third stage is when a person has AIDS (acquired immune defiance syndrome) this is when the immune system is damaged and can no longer fight infections. Age also doesn’t matter you could also be at risk if you are living sexually active. Never hesitate to ask your partner to take an HIV/AIDS test for your health and for theirs. Many of us will get insulted by any HIV testing comments, but it doesn’t matter if we are all healthy we can reduce the amount of population with this virus. We are still early to make a difference with less suicides, depression, and unhappiness if we seek the enough medical attention we need and are well informed.
