From Twitter to Facebook social media the latest the recent medium for someone to stay connected with everything and everyone. First Responders are no longer shielded or protected against inquisitive people who want to video the event. Onlookers will stand at on street near a dangerous scene just to obtain a few seconds of footage for their Internet page. Research on the contemporary development of social networking argues that current public administrations, such as professional practices may face new questions about their proper roles based on the development of technological advances (McSwite, 2009). In order words, governmental bodies such as police departments might not know how to address public scrutiny created by amateur video which makes its way into a Facebook page.…

On Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 10:50 p.m., we arrived near the Insured’s residence located at 1900 Abajo Drive, Monterey Park, CA 91754. For this objective, the ACSW Standards of Practice that I chose are B4 (Consent for Services) and B8 (Termination of Services), as I have some experience with them at my current field placement. The B4 Consent for Services standard revolves around obtaining informed client consent before the providing of services is initiated. This essentially details that responsibility falls on the social worker to provide accurate and detailed information about what services they would/do offer, and what the implementation of those services would look like for the client (ASCW, 2013, p.10). As well, included in this is the duty to inform the client of any potential risks that said client may face, gaining informed consent from the client, and explaining to the client how informed consent for services may be removed or withdrawn (p. 10).…
Thinking ten years ahead, what I anticipate a major change in the healthcare field to be would be the fact that we would be allowed to take work home. If this were to happen there would be a greater chance of HIPAA to be violated. This is because of a spouse or child of ours wanting to snoop through our work. Which will then lead me to the HIPPA law having to amended to fit the circumstances of medical workers having to take their work home. The effect it would have on me would be that I would technically be on duty 24 hours a day instead of having a 8-12 work day like…

HIPAA in the Nursing Field Privacy is a term that applies to all people, it is a right entitled to everyone. In this modern world with smart phones and social media, it can be a challenge to recognize the boundary lines of privacy when taking care of critically ill patients. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act was passed by Congress in 1996 to define the rules and regulations concerning multiple topics, one of which is called the Privacy Rule (Mcgowan pg. 61). This rule established national standards to protect patients’ personal health information and medical records. Since that time there has been advancements in technology and now there are things like electronic health records, electronic Pyxis, and online databases…
It is very important to keep client’s information private. Violating HIPPA is what nurses need to abstain from. The better way to minimize risk for violating HIPPA when using electronic record is to always sign out of the station that you are working in. Emails should also be secured do not use your personal emails to send important or private information regarding client. As for print records, it is very important not to leave information in public areas where everyone can see it.…
You are right, HIPAP could definitely be considered a limitation to the random sampling process since in this case, even when there is readily available list of population, the procedure to select the sample may be challenging since HIPAP policies could prevented from have access to the population, so the process to gain permission to access the list could become lengthy, difficult and time consuming (Laerd Disertation, 2012).…
