Many artists have either rejected or embraced the notion of increasing technology in our human world. Some, who have rejected it, have stayed true to the roots of their artistic teachings and have continued to portray the more human and/or natural elements of our world. Others, who have embraced the changing world around them, have begun to experiment with different media and subject matter, some of which have become quite gruesome, morbid, and technologically based. H R Giger is one of these artists who has embraced the changing medias and subject matter, and has created some very memorable, unique pieces that continue to capture the attention of onlookers with their intricate details and distinctive shapes and grim and monochromatic colour scheme. Another artist who embraces the grim side of things is a well-known makeup artist and SFX artist from YouTube called Glam&Gore. She does what most would consider ‘normal’ or ‘glam’ makeup looks and she also does lots of gory looks as well. Sometimes she will mix the two and create some intriguingly disgusting looks. …show more content…
