In the political frame power is a key component. Power is basically the ability to make something happen. When I worked at a youth detention center I was able to exercise this power. I was appointed the recreational supervisor for two months before I moved. I was the head of the gym staff, and they had to abide by my rules. I used my authority as power to make the gym staff lead the kids in daily activities. When the day was over the gym staff was ordered to clean the gym before clocking out to go home.
