Favorite Gymnast

My favorite gymnast on the US Olympic Gymnastics team is Gabby Douglass and her fellow gymnasts Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman. Gabby Douglass has an interesting story about her life with the other gymnast and the history. At that point, Douglass was very strong when she was doing her routines. Gabby Douglass was the most impressive gymnast because she was mostly doing gymnastics when she was younger She learned how to do a one-handed cartwheel that she taught herself when she was 4 years old. When she was 6 she did a cartwheel by herself. The Women’s gymnastics team defended the gold medal in Brazil in the year of 2016 by using their calisthenics. Gymnastics has continued for more than 2,000 years and it was a competitive sport. She was the first African to win the gold medal so she became a champion. Women's gymnastics team as a whole defended the gold in Brazil in the year of 2016. When gymnastics has become a sport so Gabby Douglass was my favorite.

The team coordinator was cheering for Douglass and her nickname was The Flying Squirrel. American’s gymnastics team won the first gold medal since 1996. In July 2016 Douglass earned a spot on the Olympic team with her fellow gymnasts Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman. Gabby Douglass is very strong in gymnastics competitions because she landed on her feet or hands while doing any types of flips. She learned her gymnastics from her sister.
