Mick in Carl Deuker Gym Candy, is a 16-year-old boy and a strong one at that, he also knows exactly what he wants, to get drafted to the NFL. Then he realizes that being massive and fast isn't always gonna work, he realizes that he has to put in the work to never be stopped short of his goal and he will do anything to get there. Hence, this evidence is showing that he will out work everyone and will be the best possible version of himself. Also, he will get other people to push him as hard as he can. The only reason he is going so hard is that he was getting outworked by Drew. This evidence relates to my claim because it is proving how he will out work everyone and will be the best. In fact, this is showing that he will do whatever it takes to be the best, even if it means putting his body on the line for it, and he knows the risk of stacks but still decides to do it. I want to do real stack tryouts, and I need to be stronger and faster, and these will get me to that point (Deuker 184-185). For this reason, he says that he wants to do a real stack and that he needs to get stronger and nimbler than everyone else and that stack will get him to that point. This proves my claim because it shows that he will do whatever it takes to be the perfect player. Also, to be the best version of himself, and that he will even put his body at risk to be the finest.
