Gwinnett Tech offers a lot of campus resource. The most benifcail campus resource to me are the Computer Labs. They give me the time, the space, and the quiet enviornent I need in order to study or finish my assignments. I don’t have a quiet environment at home. My little brother is constantly crying for attention and mom constantly calls me for chores to do around the house. As soon as I leave college I feel as if the world hits me with a to-do list. I get wrapped up in all of that and forget about my assignemt. Sometimes I don’t even get the chance to study until everyone is asleep! I know the computer labs give me that environment that I am looking for and so far I have completed all my assignments on time so I don’t have to do so much of it at home.

I think it will be benefical for all students especially those living in dorms or who have come from out of state. A nurse advisor and health counselor for all students! You would be able to manage you time, energy, and money. Don’t overextend yourself. You can manage you time in one-stop. You can find all the benefits such as general medicine, psychiatry, physical theraphy, eye care, and dental care in one location. The prices should be affordable for students attending GTC. You do not want to be paying expensive medical bills while you paying for college. The pharmacy should also offer discounted prices. I think a lot of students would take benefit of this in case of an emergency or illness during

Imagine being a college student and you spend most of your summers working on a factory floor. Now think about the real-life lessons you would learn from the factory floor. The early mornings, the long hours for low pay, the people that work there for most of their lives, and the possibility of the job itself not existing due to overseas relocation. Now all these are life lessons that are slowly teaching you to appreciate being a college student.…

A supportive and intellectual community, focused board of professors and teachers, and opportunities for growth and success are my pillars for a good university. It’s important for me to be able to work and collaborate with my peers - peers that will be present in my professional life beyond college. Thoughtful professors who are genuinely interested in my own success are also crucial factors in my decision. I believe that teachers who work with the students are of much greater value than those who merely relay information and expect high test scores. Georgia Tech has one of the best environments for student-teacher collaboration.…

At home, it is difficult to seek quietness, comfort, and resources. The college atmosphere facilitates the work I have to accomplish day-to-day. The clicking and tapping of keyboards on laptops or the rustling paper turning of book pages sends me to different location such as a library or café. At home, I am more likely to take a few or multiple snack breaks between homework credited to my mom’s weekly bean soup. Compared to the tranquil distractions outside the student center, my living status doesn’t keep me on task.…

Today, June 18th, 2017, marks the last day of my first week of college at Paul Quinn College and I am proud to say, “I survived”. Committing to Paul Quinn was a really big decision for me because this school is a 17 hour drive away from my home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. I was afraid that I might get homesick or that I would not have the support of my family because I would be so far away from home. Soon, after visiting the Dallas campus, I realized that Paul Quinn was the school for me. This is the school where I will grow as an individual and I have come to that realization in my first week of college through the many conversations with upperclassmen, faculty, alumni and summer bridge students.…

Acquiring this Master’s degree will better position me for the much needed position of a Nurse-Practitioner, affording me the versatility to work in an office, a hospital and provide patient-care to my prospective patients, irrespective of age, sex or race and whether I choose to focus on family medicine, critical care or preventive care. Given the increase in chronic conditions lately, health education and preventive care is another aspect of nursing I am passionate about and acquiring this degree will further help me deliver and make a difference in my own little…
