Once, Montag began to see the imperfections in his society, he came to the conclusion that he has worked and lived with the numerous amount of people who shroud their discontent with televisions. Montag even married one of the miserable, beings he called Mildred. Mildred was in denial of her shortcomings and refused to admit that she uses sleeping pills to try and escape. The humans of Bradbury’s society use televisions to distract themselves from their true feelings, and Montag struggled to have an actual conversation with Mildred. She would refuse to talk about the topic because the society wants to suppress any outlet to show your emotions. Glee is not solely laughter or smiles, that can be the curtain you cover sadness in, but it needs to be something you feel deep within yourself.
