He was single. He had never married because he had a prejudice against women. He believed that women would like to have a luxury of life. But he did not allow his wife to waste his money. However, he had never enjoyed his life. He did not have any hopes. In addition, his parents died. Nobody would care him. Moreover, he was tired to have a boring life and monotonous work. He was pessimism and felt lonely. He committed suicide because a sudden access of madness.
In my point of view, Maupassant, Lormerin and Leras had a several things in common. They were all bachelor unmarried man. They also had a prejudice against women. The theme of Maupassant which was expressed his feelings about his own life.
The story of Lormerin which was depicted the real world of people. Lormerin loved the young look of Lise rather than her old look. The story of Leras which was depicted the negativity of people. In his later years, Maupassant was also attempt to end his life. Finally, he committed suicide, like
