While learning to create my own writings through the knowledge I am learning, in these most recent chapters are enlightening me on how important it is to be concrete, to the point without a lot of words that isn't relevant to the topic of my writing. Writing concretely utilizing connotative words versus denotative wording can keep my audience captivated, more so when my topic of discussion is sensitive, and at that point abstract wording may be more logical to use. …show more content…
This can be a challenge for me, as I write. I must learn to be consciouses of where and how to place my words in their proper places to try to make my writings more active. Nevertheless, I will continue to improve as time progresses.
I have learned a new view of writing from David Skwire and that is that a writer should write economically by cease and desist. (David Skwire, pg 507) Giving the new "cease and desist" theory for writing I will be mindful to transition my writings with the "double stuffing" while being concrete, concise without being too wordy.
In conclusion, I will practice until I get writing correct with my, introduction, thesis, body and my conclusion with the transition that is solid, straight to the point in an active voice as well as
