Should guns be banned in the U.S.
People are dying all around the U.S. Guns have become an obsession with most people around the U.S. People are committing homicides and suicides almost every day. If we want people to stop dying from guns, then we need to ban guns. First, guns are constantly being shot at other people. In 2015, a reporter named Allison was brutally shot along with her cameraman Adam during a live interview (Donohue). People like these reporters are dying because of their job and what they say about where they are at doing a report. During the June of 2014, there was a school shooting in Charleston, and that caused Charleston to ban high caliber ammunition rounds. Terrorists are also causing trouble with guns in many different states. Then on a Wednesday in August, 2014 a reporter named Bryce Williams killed five people, two in his crew and three outside of his crew.

90% of the NRA and Americans want to have universal background checks done if someone applies for any type of job (Donohue). If we do that then we can find out if we want that person to work for us or not so we could advancements in our country. The NRA has control over all the guns that are made in the U.S so they could just stop making guns if a law is passed for banning guns as constitutional (Donohue). Now some may say that guns are used as self defence weapons. Self defence law number states that a person is entitled to use a gun if necessary (Baldwin). Using a gun to defend yourself can help you from being mugged in a city or alleyway. From the U.S. constitution it says that we have the right to bear arms. Most people mix up the fact that guns are for protecting themselves and not for killing others if threatened. You can also get your right to bear arms right taken away from you if it has a probable cause to back it

In the United States, there are certain rights that are protected by law but there is also some people that believe that it should not be protected. The second amendment which grants the right to bear arms has been a topic of an ongoing debate of whether or not the government should have more gun control. Another example, people may need more guns in case of bigger threats like terrorist attacks and so on.…

In America, there is a growing perception that guns are: they are harmful, they kill, and they commit crimes, and so most guns should be banned. But, how can a gun kill or commit crimes; it is not a living thing, it is a tool. With the use of guns, America has grown to be a strong and independent country throughout history.
