“Over the last five years, campus safety legislation has been a hot issue across the country”(Weeden Dustin). The safety of college students it has always been a major issue in the world. When the country started doing something about it and came to the conclusion that the solution for this problem was allowing students to carry concealed guns on campus, as it was expected, many people were protesting about how bad was the law, how it would be more damage than good, how it was not a good idea. But the truth, it that is the total opposite. Guns should be permitted in schools. It is not in discussion that guns are a way of protection and defense when being threatened.Unfortunately, many people often use guns in the wrong way, that is why you should have the right to have a concealed gun to defend and protect yourself in any circumstance. First of all, when the state of Texas passed the law in 2015, a lot of people were against it but there were a lot of people in favor as well. In the first place, there will be more rapist, roberies, kidnappings and more deaths because they will know that their prey is not going to have a gun with them because is against the law. Second of all, there would be more massacres, it is a fact that most criminals have a mental illness and if they would want they could kill whoever they want because they will know that it will be hard to stop them. Guns are a powerful arm that it should be allowed, of course if you are physically and mentally qualified to posses one. And that is something that a lot of people argue, that how is supposed to be safe having a gun if you are not prepared?
