The article Gunman who killed 49 in Orlando nightclub had pledged allegiance to ISIS, highlights that America has a problem with gun control and assuring that the general public is safe from people who chose to use guns for wrong. Due to this situation, Omar Mateen who declared allegiance to ISIS, was easily able to access a gun and open fire inside of a nightclub called Pulse. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said, “Mateen had legally purchased two guns; .233-caliber AR-15-type assault rifle and a 9mm semiautomatic pistol.” I understand that many people use the, “I need a gun for protection” or “I’m going hunting” for an excuse to have a gun.
