Gun Rights Research Paper

I am a conservative, which means I view Donald Trump as a great president for the United States and not just a big ugly grandpa. Not all, but most of my views and opinions are more on the conservative side. I believe keeping our gun rights, and less immigration is a good idea for us as a country. My opinion on gun rights is that if you, are not a psychotic loser, and do not have a criminal background, you should be able to own guns. I would not feel very safe if we had our gun rights taken away from us because how would we protect ourselves and our families? However, I do think it’s a good idea to be strict in big murderous cities like Chicago. Therefore, I do think gun control where it's needed isn't that bad of an idea if it will initially keep us safer. When it comes to immigration in the …show more content…
I don’t like the idea of killing the person who killed someone else. Not only do I think it's hypocritical, but it's the easy way out. That murderer or criminal should have to sit in jail for life, instead of just getting to die. How could you just kill someone, who killed someone else? I think It makes you just as bad as the murderer. I definitely do not agree with legalizing pot which everyone in the city seems to want. If we legalized pot the world would be crawling with brain-dead losers. I know what it's effects can do to somebody, especially when they grow older, and legalizing this drug is a terrible idea for everyone. It truly annoys me that people are okay with legalizing pot, just because they are having fun and making money from it now, but they don’t know what it could do to all of us. That is what I think about immigration, gun rights, the death penalty, and drugs. I am a conservative, and I believe what my family raised me to believe. I never usually share my political beliefs, but Mr. Uncle Tony made me write this

What defines a Conservatist is open to interpretation by the individual and the circumstances. I have found the closest definition of a Conservatist is when some asks a person “What type of wine do you like?” and instead of getting a vintner or an appellation; you get a response like, “You know, the good stuff.” While Conservatism is relativity defined as a political and social philosophy promotes retaining traditional social institutions in the context of culture and civilization. Some conservatives seek to preserve things as they are, emphasizing stability and continuity, while others, called reactionaries, oppose modernism and seek a return to "the way things were.”…

In this chapter we see the rise of the conservative party as we know no it today. This begins with President Ronald Reagan. With the shift to conservative values in many areas of the country, Ronald Reagan was able to beat Jimmy Carter by a land slide, winning almost every state in the United States. The Republican Conservative values were based on anti-communism, smaller government, relying more on states’ rights, tougher on crime, lowering taxes for the wealthy, a return to Christian values.…

Of the political values we discussed in class, I would say that the United States is leaning towards the value of psuedo-traditional conservatism. In clearly defining why a use the predicate “psuedo”, I want to make clear that the definition of traditional conservatism is pretty much set. That is, a type of conservatism that promote historical dominate, religious values regarding lifestyle and personal behavior.…

Autoethnography According to Francoise Lionnet, the word autoethnography is defined as the “defining of one’s subjective ethnicity as mediated through language, history and ethnogeographical analysis.” More simply put, it is the lens or perspective through which we see the world. People have many different understandings of the word location. The Urban Dictionary tells us location means a particular place or position.…

I believe that in today's climate the Republicans are anything but conservative and Democrats are conservative, that Bernie Sanders is a conservative because he proposes less spending, smarter spending, with less tax dollars being spent on all the wrong things and this is why I’m voting for him. Bernie is conservative on healthcare. Currently this country spends more on healthcare than any other country in the world without even guaranteeing it. This is a result of tax dollars competing to provide care with private health insurance. Private health insurance offers no oversight and the prices keep skyrocketing to pay off investors with very little of the actual cost paid going to real health providers like nurses, technicians, and doctors.…

Assignment Two With the establishment of a powerful two-party political system in the United States, the Democrats and Republicans – there are vital differences between the two which distinguish one from another and are founded on very powerful beliefs. Both political parties are beneficial to the United States in their own way, and both also have their downfalls. Examples of some different beliefs the two parties have are on tax policy, social issues, labor and free trade, education, and health care. Although the Democratic Party is the world’s oldest existing political party, I tend to lean towards the Conservative party for two reasons.…

As a young Hispanic Texas woman, I personally do not like guns. They frighten me to an extent and things like the notion of open carry sounds awful. Although many of my friends and family have tried to convince me those guns keep us safe I am against the increasing support of our legislators to make laws that put more guns on our streets instead of removing them. My opinion is due to the facts of how brutal and violent we are as a nation to each other and it is because of this that I want no part of this new definition of my civil right to bear arms.…

My Political Ideology My political view point is Moderate and neither just Conservative or Liberal. Being Moderate, I side with some issues on either side without fully joining the team. Two topics I agree with on the Conservative side are Pro-Life and Gun-Rights, I feel these two are the most important to myself. On the Liberal side, I focus more on the No Death Penalty Regulation and Legalizing Marijuana. Conservatives tend to dislike change and want things to stay the same or, in some cases, go back to the way things were.…

Growing up in a family that has dealt with mental illness first hand, it is apparent that people who suffer from mental disorders are treated differently than people suffering from other illnesses. (www.infowars.com) I don’t agree that more people should have guns and I don’t believe that it would help in some situations. Mr. Trump explains if schools had guns the mass shooting in San Bernardino could have been less tragic because the teachers would have had something to fire back at the shooter.…

I think that the gun control movement is a very widespread movement that is being talked about all over social media. I know that I personally see things posted about gun control all the time on social media, on television, or in articles. I think that this is a big controversy for many people. There are many individuals in our society that have different opinions on this subject, especially with all of the recent shootings that have been going on. I look forward to hearing more about this subject topic because I have heard of many positive and negative aspects of allowing individuals to own a gun.…

In this quiz, I am considered a “core conservative” which for the most part I agree with. Personally, I would call myself more of a hard-right libertarian but my differences with core conservatives are few and we agree on most things. The biggest disagreement that I have with core conservatives is on diplomacy. Only 13% of core conservatives believe that “Good diplomacy is the best way to ensure peace” and I think this is incorrect. I believe that it is tyrannical and wrong for countries to use their power to bully weaker countries into making them do what they want.…
