Summary: The Importance Of Universal Background Checks

Imagine all the guns being taken away by the government, more than seventy percent being deny their right to purchase a gun, eventually to all gun sales being made illegal in the United States. Something hard to believe and probably impossible to happen in the United States as the citizens of America strongly supports The Second Amendment of the United States; which states the right to bear Arms, meaning any American citizen has the right to buy a weapon. The people of the United States hold this Amendment very high, and there are associations that supports this right such as the National Rifle Association, which is a nonprofit organization that support gun rights. After considering evidence, one can comprehend that passing the universal background check does not go against the Second Amendment, and in fact helps improve the safety of the Americans citizens by keeping criminals from obtaining weapons.
Universal background checks should be passed into law to close current loopholes in gun control laws. The universal background is a more complete background check which is in place in the law today; the universal background check will force all gun buyers to pass a background check before being able to purchase a weapon. The focus for the universal background check is that it will close a major loophole in gun control policy, this loophole is that in gun shows anyone, even criminals and mentally ill, can purchase a weapon without a background check. The current state of background checks is that it is not as strong as many people believe, as a report done by Educational Fund to Stop Gun
