Should Guns be taken away from law abiding American citizens? Is it possible to get the millions of guns off the streets? If the American government is successful with additional measures, will America reap the benefits of more pungent gun restrictions? There has been significant divide as of lately between liberals and conservative over the great gun debate. With each passing gun murder or attack, liberals protest to protect the American people with gun control. With each protest, conservatives grow increasingly angered by the possibility of losing the rights to protect themselves and also feel as their constitutional rights are being violated. The continued racial divide in this country and the disgusting crimes on schools and movie theaters are making people fed up and so am I. This is causing some irrational thinking that otherwise would not happen. This has also opened the door for political figures to make promises they can’t keep. The united states constitutional says we have the right of gun ownership and right to bear arms and or defend ourselves. Not only is it unconstitutional to take guns away; it would be unfair to hunters and sportsmen to take guns from them. Bad guys are going to adapt and murder regardless of gun rules, because the culture is what drives these motives, not gun availability. These are not law abiding citizens, these are criminals, and extremist. Firstly, gun removal on the street would be next to impossible much like drugs or alcohol prohibition were organized crime benefited. Humans are creatures of adaptability and will use whatever is available and this much we know. People want what they want and if they can’t have guns they will want it even more. Fire attacks and bombings on buildings would increase to compensate for lack of guns if even possible. If guns were not available, which is not likely anyhow; trucks and busses and cars can be used to run over large crowds to inflict mass casualty outdoors. Also let’s not forget about the fact that knifes are responsible for more than five times the number the murders than assault rifles. I would think fires and bombing would be scarier than someone with a gun; than a law abiding citizen carrying a gun to stop him. you can’t stop fires and bombings easily. Also lets not forget the Virginia Tech knife attack that nearly left one young lady decapitate by a kitchen knife. China has had incidents of mass knife attacks leaving more than 29 dead.
