All states in the U.S.A should allow it's citizens to carry a weapon if the individual has no felony's and the individual is over 21. States that allow citizens to carry guns have very low crime rates compared to states that are strict on guns. Gun laws should not be as strict also because it is not the gun that kills people, it is the person.
States in America that have lenient gun laws have low crime rate, for example South Carolina allows anyone with no felony's and over the age over 21 to purchase and carry a gun. South Carolina has the lowest crime rate due to the fact that criminals are scared that a gun will be pulled on them while committing a crime.
Lenient gun laws have been proven to keep people safer but some are hesitant on passing
