Imagine a world where criminals kill people by the thousands. Robberies occur at a moments notice and no one can stop it. Police are scared to even go to a crime scene because they never know when they’ll be jumped. Blood pours into the sewer at every street corner. Welcome to the gun controlled world. This is why we need more gun control laws then what we have now.
Gun laws are super important to today’s society. The founding fathers made these laws as a precaution. Today we have updated guns. Therefore, we need updated gun laws to keep the blood off the streets. In 2015, there were 475 people killed because of school shootings. Since 2012, that number has been slowly rising.
The date is April 20th, 1999. A day that everyone will soon know to be beginning of an era. Two boys showed up outside Columbine. There were both wearing trench coats and carrying assault weapons. Why do we still allow automatic weapons and weapons that shoot over 45 bullets per minute? No one needs to shoot that many bullets. When are we gonna say that the lives of our children are more important than your right to kill something at a faster rate?
The other side of this argument is very simple to put down. The gun enthusiast say that without the automatic weapons, how will they protect their families when the government needs overthrown? The founding fathers knew government is not supposed to last forever. Superior weapons don’t always win the war. Superior tactics do.
In Vietnam, the United States had superior fire power and forces. But the Viet Cong or Charlie used tactics we had never seen or faced before. Guerilla warfare and ambushes kept the U.S. from completely overwhelming them. Eventually the United States pulled out of the Vietnam War and the Viet Cong prevailed. This was unheard of in America’s
