This gave me an idea for my own game. The name of the game would be Gun Hill, based off of the movie gun hill with some slight altercations.
I have an idea for a more complicated game that will keep the attention of the players and keep them wanting to know more. The game will start off with a intro that introduces the two main characters and which will help the player better understand the story. When the mystery character comes into the house the character will soon notice that he is one of his brothers friend from work. His brother friends will speak about a undercover mission that he knows nothing about but has to act like he is with it. The player gets a reminder on his brothers phone “DON'T FORGET 12AM TONIGHT, *8716 Boulevard* “ The player has to decide whether he will go or …show more content…

“Dreams defeated and Dreams completed” In lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun,” the play explores the difficulties ingrained in turning each of their dreams into reality. Domina, L. M. a explains when the play opens, the Younger family has no clear leader. Its power structure is complicated, especially in terms of American norms. Yet although he might (or might not) make the most money, he is not the family's breadwinner in the traditional sense, since Ruth and occasionally Mama also work.…

Video games are arguably even less associated with storytelling than comics are, with some critics believing “that the video-game form is incompatible with traditional concepts of narrative” (Bissel, 93). Where the medium truly excels, however, is with its capacity for immersion. Like how the addition of sound allowed filmgoers to not just watch the action but hear it, “Every new medium that has been invented … has increased the transporting power of narrative” (Rose, 36). Where readers of books and viewers of movies are passive, gamers take an active role in their narratives. In games like Mass Effect this means making key decisions that affect the development of the plot, but in games like Naughty Dog’s Uncharted and The Last of Us, this…

Walter dreams of owning a liquor store but that has not been able to happen because of his poverty and the prejudice in his society. Gatsby dreams that the lies he surrounds himself with will become real resulting in Daisy loving him again, but reality catching up to him is what stands in his way.…

When it comes to game adaptions of books there are bound to be obvious differences caused by adapting from one medium to another. Are these differences significant enough to mean that a game can never be a faithful adaptation of a book? Faithful adaptations being an “attempt to recapture the original text as closely as possible” (Beach). Using the book Parasite Eve by Hideaki Sena and the game of the same name by Square (now known as Square-Enix), it becomes easy to see that games can never be a faithful adaptation of their parent text. The game is canonically a sequel to the novel and explores many of the exact same themes; however, the two could not be any more fundamentally different.…
