People always want stricter gun laws when something tragic like this happens. However, this only makes it easier for a homicidal maniac to cause so much devastation in such a small place. The tragedy that happened in Aurora, Colorado brought out the arguments for more gun control laws. Younge states, “Though there remain many unanswered questions about the shooting, there is no doubt that the terrible tragedy is being exploited by the anti-gun crowd to promote their agendas of more gun control.” Having stricter laws on guns will do nothing to help stop the violence.
There will always be guns sold in the street, or stolen, or bought legally. There will always be killings somewhere in this world from a gun. Therefore, how could stricter gun laws make gun violence like this stop?
