The Bible speaks of things such as self defense and the use of weapons. Some examples of these are Genesis chapter four, which contains the telling of the first murder committed. Exodus 22:2-3 says “If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt for his bloodshed. If the sun has risen on him, there shall be guilt for his bloodshed. He should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.” This implies that a threat to one 's life is to be met with lethal force and that guilt should not be carried for attempting to save a life. The Bible also shows strong favor to creation; a key purpose to mankind is to protect it. One way of doing so is using guns to protect yourself and those around you from others attempting to harm you. We are also to be keepers of the creatures on the earth. An example of this would be, due to deforestation habitats are being destroyed causing an imbalance within the animal kingdom. The current gun laws create a system similar to population control.
