Gun Control Satire

Gun Control
In my personal opinion, I think that there should be more, stricter gun control laws in Canada. This ends that I agree with the NDP, Liberal party, and the Conservative party. They agree with pro-gun control and the registry. I do believe that people kill people, but if there were no guns in the killers’ possession there would be no victim. The liber part believes that everyone deserves a militia or the security guard, I agree with them. The NDP states that they want to track guns from begging to end, to me this is a great idea, for example, if there was a homicide with a certain gun the government could track the gun to the person who owns it. If I were prime minister, I would regulate more gun laws and track the guns purchased

Also, I agree with the NDP and Green party that the immigration process should be removed from anything unnecessary and make it quicker. If someone wants to move to Canada and become a citizen because it will make their like better I don’t think we should deny them the right, we are an accepting country, we should stick with what Canada is and be accepting, people that are immigrating for the right reasons should be allowed. I also have complications with that theory, though, what if thy take jobs away from people who were born here? To that, I believe there should be more job opportunities for both fields. If I were PM I would try and create more jobs for immigrants and citizens so that there is no competition for jobs.

Marijuana
I agree with legalization, I agree with the Liberal party and the NDP. If marijuana is legalized the distribution can be monitored and will benefit our country economically. Many teens smoke weed if it is legalized the stigma of doing something illegal or “cool” will be gone and may make teens not smoke anymore. If I were PM I would be like Justin Trudeau, he believes in many tings that I do regarding legalization. Also, if it is legalized it will benefit people that need it for medication, it will be easier for them to calm their health

While in theory this may seem plausible, statistical analysis done by langmann() showed that there was no decrease in the homicide rates after each of the reforms but that the homicide rate generally stayed stable. This shows that the Canadian government had good…

Since Canada’s prime minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal party rose to power, they have been proposing stricter gun control, such as repealing changes made by Bill C-42 that allow restricted and prohibited weapons to be freely transported without a permit, requiring enhanced background checks for anyone seeking to purchase a handgun or other restricted firearm, requiring firearms vendors to keep records of all firearms inventory and sales to assist police in investigating firearms trafficking and other gun crimes and so on. They believe stricter gun control can “get handguns and assault weapons off our streets” (Liberal, n.d.). Guns are indeed dangerous as they pose a great threat to community; innocent bystanders can be killed or injuired by…

Restricting gun laws negatively impacts Canada’s economy because it reduces the amount of government revenue received each year and creates the possibility of unemployment for people in the firearm industry. In 1996, a report made by Statistics Canada shows that over 1.5 million citizens over the age of 15 participated in hunting and other outdoor related sports, generating $824 million. These events additionally led to an increase of foreign visitors (Reeneboog). This demonstrates how gun related activities has led to a wealthier government that can now provide the public with more resources. This also displays how these tools are not used for the purpose of harming, but helping citizens.…

Synthesis Essay The legalization of marijuana is a conflict that can be seen from many different points of views; from legalization of both recreational and medical reasons to being illegal as a whole. Some may argue that marijuana would ineffectively decrease crime rates in the United States, but statistically this is not the case. Some may also argue that marijuana should not be legalized for the sake of this generation's future, because they would become a “guinea pig generation,” marijuana should most definitely be legalized nationally for both medical and recreational purposes because the drug can promote a better American economy. Statistically, marijuana would not affect any teenagers in high school, and it has been proven that marijuana…
