Should The United States Adapt Stricter Gun Laws? On an average day, 91 Americans are killed with guns. In the united states the murder rate by guns is twenty-five times the average of other developed countries. This needs to be put to an end. In the video, Global Lessons On Guns. The united states needs to implement strict gun laws to reduce the deaths, we cannot sit back and watch so many people loose there life’s when a simple strict law can be put in place and help reduce and prevent it. In order for anyone to consider owning a gun they must be independent. They have to be able to make choices for themselves without inner or outer compulsions. This means the person making the choices is old enough, is knowledgeable about the choice and is healthy mentally and physically, as well as they don’t have outer influences pushing them to do what they want. If they are able to be independent they then can make a competent decision and can do so because they met the first level restriction. By being competent they are able to think about their values and goals to make a rational decision. Lastly, they must be able to make a authentic choice this is a well thought choice meaning the person has thought about all possibilities and make the right choice. When obtaining a firearm, you should be able to do these steps in order to make a choice, an autonomous person
