Firearms are weapons used to intentionally or unintentionally kill people, which lead to one of most heated 2015 debates in the United States: gun control. Smith (2014) states that “a huge practical problem in tackling firearm violence in the United States is the sheer number of uncontrolled guns in the country”. The debate on gun laws is basically two sided, should laws be stricter on those purchasing firearms or should the law embrace citizens “constitutional rights” to bear arms. It seems that Americans are weighting in on this debate and there is still no clear answer.
