Preview of 3 Main Points: (Jessica) In this speech, we will first explain to you how “gun control” does not work because it only disarms the good citizens. Furthermore, we must protect ourselves. Secondly, the benefits of all Americans being trained in firearm usage and tactics. Point Four: If this land were to be invaded- I’ll use by ISIS for example- we will not be casualties of war because we will be combatants.
A. Sub-point A: Our military, of course, will respond with necessary force, but how long will that response take if we are already unpredictably under fire. We are all armed, the actual first response would be in seconds. The man or woman putting groceries in their car are a few steps away from their rifle. The people walking carefree through the city are armed with handguns. ISIS or any other invading force will face and fight us until our military can strategize a plan of attack.
B. Sub-point B: We are not bystanders or victims. The likelihood of our military having to do much on American soil is not likely, we have already taken care of it.
